July Woodland Sampler: Finished

I was able to finish stitching up the July Woodland Sampler, just in the nick of time.  Even though cross stitching is a low key activity, I had zero motivation to even stitch while I have been sick... that's a new level of sick for me.

Anyways, here is July!

July Woodland Sampler

I really super love that little fox!  He is just the cutest.  He might be my favorite so far...

Here are all the months so far:

January - July Woodland Sampler

It was a close call this month, but I am happy that I'm not behind and I'm ready for August tomorrow!

Apologies...

Well, I have had quite the absence... But I have good reasons!

1.  I made a quick trip back to Dallas.  My sister went through a serious operation.  The whole family flew down to Dallas to support her.  It was quite a big deal.

2.  I have been SUPER sick.  Like, barely shower every day kind of sick.  Today is the first day I have spent more than five minutes in my sewing room... and I haven't even done anything yet!

3.  Due to reasons 1 and 2, I haven't done anything worth posting about... I actually have had my computer completely off for over a week.  It's insane.

BUT! I am finally starting to feel better.  I'm on some medication and I feel like it's starting to help me out.  So, I hope that I can get back into the swing of things!

For now, please forgive me... and enjoy a couple pictures of my constant companions!

Holy cow - I've been absent!

Life has been insane, but in a mostly good way.  I was sick for a lot of last week, which was super random.  I feel better now, but I can tell that I'm not quite at 100% yet.  In addition to getting over being sick, we had a quick trip to Virginia this past weekend to attend a memorial service for Jake's grandmother.

The Homestead in Warm Springs, VA

It was super gorgeous in Warm Springs, VA.  I loved the warm, humid weather and being surrounded by all the gorgeous green!  The memorial was beautiful and it was wonderful to spend time with family.

Before we went to Virginia, I did manage to accomplish another one of my 99 goals - #22 Buy fruit/vegetables at a farmer's market!  I only ended up buying a case of raspberries, but I had a lot of fun!

My mom met Jake and I there and we came across a Henna tattoo booth... She turned to me and said, "I'll get one, if you get one."  I replied, "I'll get one if you pay for it!"

So here we are!

It was a lot of fun!  I'd do it again!

June Woodland Sampler: Finished

I realized earlier today that I didn't ever post a photo of the finished June Woodland Sampler, even though I finished it before we left for Moab.

So, here it is!

June Woodland Sampler

I enjoyed stitching this little guy up.  I think the jar is just adorable.

And here are all the months together!

January - June Woodland Sampler

I'm really enjoying this little club and I think I'll start working on July's tonight... it's a fox! I love foxes!
